Story and Gameplay

Forget about the usual trench shootouts. In Drone Fury, the rules are dictated by whoever has the controls of a combat drone in their hands. Essentially, you become an elite sniper, except instead of a rifle, you get a high-tech “bird” armed with missiles. The objective is simple: enter enemy airspace, complete your target, and get out without being detected.

The mechanics aren't overloaded with unnecessary complexity. Launch the drone, switch on the thermal camera (at night, you're basically screwed without it), and scan the area. Spotted a convoy? Great, lock on the target. Then it's time for guided missiles or kamikaze drones if you need to crack heavy armor for good measure. The explosions are spectacular.

Missions are constantly shuffled, so things never get boring. One moment you're defending a base from attack helicopters, the next you're providing air support for your own troops. Sometimes you even have to sink heavy cruisers. The first-person perspective is well done – the camera genuinely gives you a sense of the drone's size and scale.

But don't expect an easy ride. Enemy air defense is always on alert. Look away for a second and you'll already have a surface-to-air missile heading straight for you. The key is to deploy your flares in time and get out of the line of fire. Miss the timing, and you'll be picking up the pieces.

Successful sorties reward you with resources. You can spend a long time tinkering in the hangar: heavy machine guns, lasers, experimental armor. There's more than enough customization, making it easy to build a machine specifically around your preferred playstyle.
